This is a fantastic line of bookshelves designed by Jaren Goh for a furniture company in Singapore,
Munkii. These bookshelves combine baroque and contemporary styling, perfectly melding the two into a piece that is functional, whimsical, and relevant to our time. I love them! For more pictures, visit
Design Milk or the
Munkii website.

Those are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese would be so cool in my classroom. After 15 years, I'm starting to get tired of the institutional classroom. I wish it were a little more homey. Especially considering I am there at least 10 hours a day and many, many nights for kids games and such.
ReplyDeleteOH these are wonderful and you wouldn't have to dust underneath!
ReplyDeleteSince I rarely dust under my furniture, I hadn't thought about that! Bonus!!
ReplyDeleteOMG girl, their furniture look so good! And I can't believe they're in Singapore! I'm gonna go check them out for my new home! Thanks so much for featuring them. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't help but notice this Vintage bookcase circulating since last 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteMatter is, i have seen this design some time ago. It is very pretty but is it a rip off from an older concept? Does a rip off design deserve so much attention?
See http://www.casasugar.com/tag/Munkii, it was already around in 2007.
Mololo, whether or not these bookcases have been around for some time or not is irrelevent to me and on my blog. I post things I like, when I see them. These bookcases are new to me. Nothing in the post would indicate otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
