DIY Lavender Vanilla Sugar Scrub

I love scrubs in the shower but I hate how expensive they can be. I'm also really picky about my scents. If it smells at all synthetic...yuck! My all time favorite scrub is Bum Deal Body Scrub by Benefit, $24.00. It has a glorious red current scent. However, unless I get it as a gift, I'm not likely to buy it too often.
While I've never been one to make my own soaps or masks, I saw this recipe (don't recall where) for a sugar scrub and decided to try it. Since I had all the ingredients, it was really easy!

Measurements are approximate and can be adjusted to your liking:

1/2 cup sugar (you could also add sea salt)
2-4 Tbs olive oil
5+ drops of lavender pure essential oil
3+ drops of vanilla extract

Mix ingredients in a plastic container (don't want glass shattering in the shower!) and voila, you have a great scrub!

It is fantastic! My skin felt great from the oil and sugar and the scent is to die for! I may even buy other essential oils for a change of smell!

I highly recommend that you pamper yourself with this little diy treat! You deserve it!
