Beware, I'm currently wound a bit tight

Hi everyone!  I feel like I'm completely out of the blog/cyber loop.  We are down to the last few weeks before we move to Reno27 days, to be exact.  I was fooling myself in thinking that I'd be anything but harried, emotional, overwhelmed, and nervous.  Simply put, I'm wound up as tight as barbed wire.  Watch out!

Last Friday, I decided to take my products off of my website temporarily.  It's too difficult for me to continue sales when most of my studio is packed away.  You can still access my site as well as contact me.  You just can't buy from it right now.  If you want to be the first to know when products are again available, please join my mailing list

I'm trying to tie up loose ends.  My great friends are organizing our goodbye parties and I'm still sorting, selling, and separating our clothes and household items.  As nomadic as I thought I was, I do not want to move again.  Ever.

I've seen Bridesmaids twice now because I've needed to laugh.  Nothing makes you laugh harder than a girl crapping her pants in a formal gown.  I'm trying to think of things I want to do before we move.  Funny how my brain gets stuck and simple decisions get harder to make.  I find that I just get up and go without actually thinking about it.  I may head to the Lizzy Borden Bed & Breakfast in Fall River later this week for a tour.  It's something I've wanted to do.

What's going on with you currently?  I know some of you are renovating and gearing up for summer.  I'd love for you to share what's on your plate.

OM [one moment] meet up - week #12 - Life goes on

I walked out on our patio one morning this week to find this spider suspended between my two deck chairs. Little did it know that these chairs are used and moved around daily. I took some photos, kept Sophie from running between the chairs and contemplated the spiders existence. Then, in a blink of an eye, E ran out of the house and through the web to sit down next to me. There goes that web. I'm certain the spider, although jolted, found solace elsewhere.

I realized in this moment, that the spider can teach me a great deal about handling stress in life. We go about our day doing the best we can and never know when something will happen to upset the comfortable world we've built for ourselves. Great or small, these incidents can jolt us a bit. It's best that we just shake ourselves off and go about life as we know it. I doubt the spider sat around and contemplated its next move. It simply found another place to rebuild its web. Life goes on.

What was your 'one moment' this week? What took you out of your present moment and made you think, laugh, sigh?

Share in the blog comments here, on your own blog (and link back below) or on my Facebook fan page. If you are on Twitter, I've started a hash tag - #OMmeetup so that we can converse if we'd like. We'd love to hear your moment this week!

Pieces in progress and other random tidbits

Well, this weekend was a bit harried for me. Somehow I had it stuck in my head that delivery for Craftland was this coming weekend. Nope, it was last weekend and I had to scramble to get things wrapped up. I had to do on Saturday what I was planning to do all of this week. Now that I'm on this end of the week, I feel relieved. However, Saturday was a bitch!! It's amazing how much time labeling, sorting, tagging, etc. takes.

I still have a bunch of resin pendants in progress. The earrings have been selling a lot lately. I credit Twitter and the roving #humor and #funny bots that have been retweeting my tweets. I know that for some of you, that makes absolutely no sense. Believe me, it's all good.

This morning I had a bit of a scare when my son's middle school called and asked if he was sick and at home. Um...no. Heart pounding...it was a mistake in their roster. I wasn't the only parent they called. Urgh. Not what I needed in an already stressed state of mind.

Last night, C and I watched Superbad. It would have been so much funnier to me if M wasn't turning 13 in about a week. I'd like to live in denial for just a bit longer. Okay, the movie was still pretty funny.

Hope your week is productive!

I am pissy today. How are you?!

Do not disturb sign, originally uploaded by Marc Johns.

It's only taken me about 12 years (from start of C's career change) to realize that when life gets frenetic, so do I. I've only recently begun to look at the stimulus surrounding me to admit that it's okay for me to be feeling as such.

End of school chaos (school plays, fundraisers, concerts, homework, etc); husband working very long hours (I don't feel like I've seen him in 2 weeks - we are literally 2 ships passing); thinking ahead for summer (camps, visitors, schedules, shows); worrying about finances, sudden unforeseen expenses, my business expenses, world peace, etc.....you know, LIFE!

So, I'm embracing my pissiness today knowing that soon this will pass. However, I felt it necessary to vent. Do not cross me today (yes, I'll be wearing my belt today, available for purchase here ;-0).

Please feel free to let it out in the comments. If you're feeling well today, say it! We'll rejoice in your great spirit. If you are feeling bitchy, say that and I will commiserate with you. Let's let it out together!
