Just another manic monday!

So yesterday I was frenzied! I had several back orders that needed to go out and, of course, nothing went as I'd planned.

After I sealed and shipped my last package, I decided to do something for myself and something I've been wanting to do. I made a lavender sachet.

I know, it's all too exciting...not! But, I've been wanting to make a modern looking sachet with some of my scrap fabric AND dried lavender from my own garden. It's so satisfying to be resourceful! So, this is what I came up with. I knew I kept those small pieces of fabric, screening, and tidbits for some reason.

The grommets w/the screening really make the smell come through! I find lavender to be so soothing. I even sleep with a little sachet under my pillow at times. Last night, I hung it on my bedside lamp and was lulled to sleep by the scent!

My thought is that I'll make these as little thank you gifts for my customers. Of course, I'll seal them in zip lock bags in case someone doesn't like or is allergic to lavender (can you imagine!).

If I had been thinking, I would have done a little tutorial...next time!
