I'm looking forward to learning about what flowers grow best in Nevada. But, I'll miss my year round blossoms in my Rhode Island garden.

Photographing my garden one last time
I was sitting on my deck this weekend and realized this is the last chance I'll be able to take photos of my flowers in bloom. Each of these flowers, bushes, plants were placed in the ground by my hands. They've bloomed for several years now but this year they were bigger and brighter than ever.

They are lovely.... I haven't gardened since I moved to AZ. the thought of putting my hands in the dirt here creeps me out...too many weird things.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose! Just the thoughts of snakes and scorpions are enough to keep me from digging in your dirt.
Great photos . Good luck in Nevada.
ReplyDeleteOK. I am admitting aloud that with each post about your move, I find myself growing more weepy. This one conjured real tears.... I go outside every morning and every night and circle to see what's growing - what's changed in 12 hours. It's def a way of marking time and the habit itself would be sorely missed, let alone the beauty I nurtured along. I guess this is my way of saying that I understand your connection to your life in RI - neighbors, weather, good eats, flowers, habits, friends.... it never ends. But b/c you are a person who makes these connections so deeply, you will find more of these in your new forever home. They will fill you up in all sorts of new and exciting and comforting ways - there will be more friends and flowers to add to your love list! xo Jan
