The Amazing Grace - OM [one moment] meetup #34

A high station in life is earned by the gallantry with which appalling experiences are survived with grace. - Tennessee Williams

I was deeply saddened by the loss of Elizabeth Edwards this week.  During her very public life, she seemed to endure more than any one person should in a lifetime.  My thoughts are with her children, particularly the young ones. I was touched when, in an interview, Larry King said that she was one of the most gracious people he had ever interviewed.   He said she always answered his questions with grace and honesty.  What wonderful attributes for which to be remember.

om [one moment] meet upOM is a weekly meet up that promotes living in the moment.  Whether funny, sad, ridiculous, or banal, actively looking for and sharing these moments will promote balance in our lives.

Share in the blog comments here, on your own blog (and link back below)  or on my Facebook fan page. If you are on Twitter,  use hash tag - #omMeetup so we can converse if we'd like. We'd love to hear your moment this week!

  2. I usually don't refer to politics online, but I voted for John Edwards in the primary of the Presidential election. He seemed genuine and a champion for the poor and I loved his wife. I saw them as a package deal.

I'm saddened by all the hardship, both in her personal life and with her health. It reminds me to live as brightly as possible with as much grace as I can muster.

  3. Thank you for saying this. I agree whole heartedly. I was surprised by how affected I was by her passing. She is someone I have grown to admire as time has gone by. All too often, in time we learn why people in the public eye shouldn't be held in such high esteem. She was not one of those people.

  6. I have always admired her, especially having a Grandmother that survived breast cancer. It is no easy journey... and to lose her battle? Totally leaves me feeling very fortunate.
