Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I always miss Chicago on this day! Where else can you see a river dyed green, skip work to drink green beer with thousands of people wearing green, and celebrate with a big parade even though you aren't Irish.

To all my Chicago friends, a special
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

  5. We are big ND fans, we went there and have two daughters there, so Irish is in your blood no matter what your roots!

  8. It’s a small world, for sure! My bro went to ND (I think ’92) as did my father-in-law, uncle, several cousins, etc. My Dad lives in South Bend (where I grew up). My brother is trying to sway my children to go there. Although I went to Indiana University and my hubby went to the University of Chicago.

@Hali, yep, they really do dye it green. Not sure what they use but I'm pretty sure it's non-toxic or they'd have lots of Chicagoans up in arms.

Valentina, Chicago is lots of fun on this day. It's also pretty great any other time of year except maybe Jan-mid March.

kimberj, I do love Boston. I just don't get there enough!
