I have always wanted to play drums, not in a marching band or orchestra, but in a rock and roll band. I've always wanted to thrash my head, hair flying, while twirling my drum sticks between my fingers.

My moment came when I realized that not only can E do something I've always wanted to do, he can also do something that I don't know how to do. Living vicariously through him is the next best thing!
What was your 'one moment' this week? What took you out of your present moment and made you grateful, smile, happy?
Share in the blog comments here, on your own blog (and link back below) or on my Facebook fan page. If you are on Twitter, I've started a hash tag - #omMeetup so that we can converse if we'd like. We'd love to hear your moment this week!
I think I'm still waiting for my moment this week :) But the opportunity to write about it has made me appreciate them more. I spend more time looking at things that happen ( good or frustrating) to see what can be learned or experienced through them. I know this sounds kinda zen and new ageish but well... I guess that's where my head is at right now. so thanks for that, thank you very much!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome and I couldn't agree more. It is a great reminder for me each week.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are well!
Hey Linda...Great OM post! I'm afraid I won't be able to add my OM this week as you can see from my latest post http://www.rubysupcycledesigns.com/2010/07/questioning-my-sanity.html
ReplyDeleteI can quite recall an OM this week. I'm more in a *packin' my bags & leaving on the next jet plane* kind of mood!
Wishing you a happy weekend!
xoxo Beth
Oops that would be...I CAN'T quite recall an OM this week.
ReplyDeleteI definitely can relate to this post! My boys are still playing beginner songs on the piano, but I can't wait for them to break into some rock classics from The
ReplyDeleteBeatles and Elton John. I keep meaning to brush up on my piano skills, but I think it will instead be me living vicariously through their talents.
I'll admit that I LOVE that both my boys play the 'cello - definitely the instrument I would have played if I had it all to do over again...BUT "Back in BLack" brings out the "air guitar/drummer" in all of us! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the invitation, Linda! I like your blog and your designs. A question before I join your OM: Should the OM post include an explanation to the picture, a reason why this moment was significant?
ReplyDeleteI love your thoughts on living through your child. Reminded me of the Queen song performed by George Michael and Lisa Stansfield at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert :)

Your 'a moment' photo post is perfect as is. Just add your link in the Mister Linky box. If you want to leave a bit of an explanation in the comments, feel free but you don't have to!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're joining us!
