The scent of summer - OM [one moment] meet up #54

It's been quite a week. When I began to think about this post, there were several "moments" that I could have focused upon. All negative and not anything I'd want to relive in any capacity, I pressed myself to reach deeper for something positive to surface.  My moment that made me breath in deeply and then exhale with a smile, was twice noticing the scent of lilacs wafting in the air:  once when I was walking Sophie and another when my windows were open and a breeze swept through my bushes.

Lilac

The fresh scent of summer lilacs. Ahhhhhhhh!  Such a small thing in a week of great emotion and negative energy.  See, it does help to stop and smell the flowers.

I hope you had a good week. Did you have a moment filled with summer scents?

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Sorry things are tough right now...just a few more weeks and this will all be OVER! And smells, smells are wonderful to make me stop and savor. Right now we've got jasmine in the air and it is divine!

Lilacs were crazy good this year. I rather enjoyed them immensely!

  3. A beautiful scent can really lift my spirits. I'm glad for you that the lilacs are helping - there are few things more stressful than moving! I've been noticing the scent of honeysuckle and it brings back memories of being a kid and tasting the tiniest drop of nectar from each blossom.

  4. Nature has a way about her... she reminds us to stop and appreciate our surroundings. And to breathe.

  5. I'm happy to hear you are feeling some positive energy. A breath of fresh air is a great way to reboot! On another note, I'm not see other people's links. Am I doing something wrong?
